Bio
Virginia Taborn has devoted her career to defending civil liberties and criminal defense. Currently, she holds the position of Senior Associate at the Law Offices of Patrick J. McLain. Driven by a profound commitment to justice, Virginia is passionate about safeguarding the rights of individuals within the criminal justice system. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
Virginia is deeply committed to providing legal assistance to those unable to afford it. She actively volunteered with Lawyers Against Domestic Violence and has contributed her expertise as a board member for Welcome House Alcohol and Drug Recovery and Sadie's Treatment Facility. Currently, she volunteers with the Texas Lawyer Assistance Program, where she mentors fellow attorneys in Texas.
As a member of several legal associations, Virginia's professional affiliations include the Dallas Criminal Defense Association, Texas Criminal Defense Association, Dallas Bar Association, and the College of the State Bar of Texas. She is a seasoned attorney, highly esteemed for her comprehensive knowledge and expertise in criminal defense. She is licensed to practice in all Texas civil and criminal courts, as well as the United States Eastern District Court, the Northern District Court and the Northern District Bankruptcy Court. Outside of her professional endeavors, Virginia leads an active lifestyle. She is an enthusiastic swimmer and biker, and often cycles around White Rock Lake. With a background as an All-American basketball player at Bishop Dunne High School, she has a keen interest in competitive sports and enjoys sailing, playing the guitar at her church, and spending quality time with her family and two dogs, Dusty and Grace.
